Ryan Tram’s production skills are displayed in full force on this album, which he produced and wrote entirely himself. With assistance from his sister, Emily Tram, who provided art assets and rotoscoped footage for the trailer, and songwriting help from up-and-coming lyricist Laura Canela, the album presents a masterclass in collaborative creativity. In his words, “I produced and wrote the entire album myself. I also directed and shot the album trailer with my sister, Emily Tram. Laura Canela polished some choruses and lines to flow way better.“
“Digital Voyage, Vol. 1” does not merely captivate listeners with its lyrical and narrative depth; it is also a stellar example of quality production. “ReSeT Ryan Tram’s meticulous use of glitch effects and electronic layers immerses the listener in a vibrant, synthetic soundscape that feels both futuristic and emotional,” PopHits.Co Team remarks.
The influence of Porter Robinson’s “Worlds” and “Nurture” albums is evident, yet Tram offers a distinctly personal touch that sets his work apart.
Amongst the tracks, “Elevate”, “Anew”, “Human”, and “Painted Sky” each tell unique parts of the overarching story. The composition of these songs started as far back as his undergraduate days and evolved as he pursued his Master’s degree at Berklee College of Music in Spain. The track “Human” stands out with its hyperpop influences, instantly transporting the listener into a world of euphoric synths and pulsating bass lines reminiscent of artists such as Porter Robinson and Mura Masa.
The authenticity and raw talent evident throughout ReSeT Ryan Tram’s work make it a must-listen for fans of electronic pop. His trajectory – from college professor to full-time artist and content creator – adds further depth to his music, reflecting his real-life experiences and growth.
