“Wake up Wake up” is a fun pub song for when you lose a friend on a night out with a little sporty feel, like yelling at the TV or chanting drunkenly at the pub, as described by the band member Lily.
The band is independent and formed some time ago, they have released their single “Wake Up Wake Up,” as an anthem for anyone who wants to get out and start their night on the right foot in a funny way.
You won’t be able to take your eyes off the tune once you hear the hard-hitting guitar riff and the catchy chorus reminding you of a cartoon scene. Likewise, the lyrics are funny about something that can happen to anyone, such as losing a friend on a night out. Has anyone ever done it? Well, I did it!
The producers from PopHits.Co described the song as a super catchy pop-punk anthem with a grungey sound and female vocals that will get you moving. It’s the kind of track that will make you want to put on your skater shoes, get out there and do something punk.
We can say that It has got an American influence with its pop-punk sound, but it also has some hard rock elements in there as well. So if you’re into bands like Paramore or The Veronicas then this song is definitely for you!
The band’s music can also be described as alternative grunge pop-punk with punk rock influences and hard rock vibes. Lead singer Annakye’s voice is often compared to that of Courtney Love from Hole or PJ Harvey from her early days in the band Dry.
Their lyrics are often darkly humorous or sarcastic, but always honest about what they want to express: for people to wake up and see the world for what it really is—a crazy place worth fighting for.
