Fat Cat Affair tells us, “This one really means a lot to me!” After leaving my hometown many years ago, I went on the road and played anywhere and everywhere. My inspiration came from a girl I once met and I coupled it with an old melody and chords written by a friend of mine that we had been playing for a long time. Upon rewriting the lyrics, I added a few sections and here we are!”
It is the story of Fat Cat’s travels through Europe that inspired him to write Up At Dawn, a romantic bedroom pop song based on his travels around Europe. The song is about finding a purpose again, being inspired by someone, and falling in love at first sight.
