Every once in a while, everything aligns just right in the music world, and a rare single is born that escapes all genres, leaving listeners with only one question: who is this guy?
Remy Neal‘s recently released single “Grey Sky Blue” could be that pop banger song we all were waiting for. I had the privilege of interviewing Remy about his musical influences, and why this dream pop dance track should hit radios everywhere.
Remy Neal’s “Grey Sky Blue” is the kind of song that will have you dreaming of a better world, one where your life is filled with love and happiness, and one where you don’t have to worry about anything. Think of Lady Gaga, Calum Scott, Greyson Chance, and Harry Styles, so Remy is better than that.
The single is a dream pop banger that has all the characteristics of an anthem: euphoric vocals, memorable beats and rhythms, and a lot of commercial appeals.
It has commercial appeal because it has all the elements that make a song perfect for mainstream radio play. It’s easy to sing along to, it’s catchy as hell, and it’s got enough tempo changes to keep things interesting without getting too fast or too slow for listeners’ tastes—and believe me when I say that Remy Neal knows how to keep things interesting.
The producers of PopHits.Co just loved it and described Neal’s sound as an “injection of passion translated into music”, a dream pop anthem that also got a groove that will make it perfect for dancing at festivals, parties, nightclubs or just on your own. The lyrics are meaningful and emotional—they’ll make you feel like you’re about to conquer the world, literally.
There is no doubt that Remy is a highly talented singer, he knows the right sounds to use and connect with the audience, not to mention that he is a bold one-man band. Everything he presents on his singles is done live too but by Remy himself, alone. That’s just impressive.
If you’re looking for the next indie banger, Remy Neal’s “Grey Sky Blue” is the song for you. You can listen to our full playlist which contains Remy Neal’s music, and watch the interview to know more about the artist by scrolling down the page.
We also say that Grey Sky Blue is dreamy and ethereal, with soaring vocals and an upbeat tempo that will have you dancing in your chair as well. The lyrics are uplifting and empowering, but they never veer into cheesy territory. And when the chorus comes around—well, let’s just say it will be stuck in your head for days.
It’s not just a catchy tune; it’s one that makes you feel good about yourself and the world around you. And that’s what makes Remy Neal such an incredible artist: he reminds us of all the things we love about music—the way it can transport us to another place entirely and make us feel like our lives matter—without ever seeming pretentious or preachy.
His music videos are also visually very attractive; they’re like little movies set in different worlds. In my opinion, it’s the kind of production where he could show a few of his acting skills in addition to his musical talent, as Remy is not only a singer but also a songwriter, producer and actor.
As a singer, Remy Neal is capable of bringing forth expressive melodies backed by piano pop rhythms, creating music listening experiences that elevate the spirit.
Remy is currently based out of Huntsville, Alabama. He has performed all over the country including Lipstick Lounge in Nashville, Town Hall in New York, Don’t Tell Momma in both New York and Las Vegas, and Mars Music Hall in Huntsville.
Jeremy Stephens and Kristen Ford produced his debut album along with Clearwave Studios (Derek Trucks, Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell). The tracks were mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Bentley Records has signed him, and he will release his first full-length on October 6th, 2022.
