As a hidden gem shining from the heart of the United Kingdom and later resounding in LA, Jahnavi Harrison graces our ears with her divine album, “Into the Forest (Live).”
On the scale of alternative pop to new age vibes, all wrapped up within the delicate petals of folk and art-pop genres, her music paints a universal picture that resonates with everyone.
There’s a particular identity to her sound, yet Harrison strikingly echoes the piercing beauty of artists like Tori Amos and the sensations of Atlantis Morissette, blending into a refreshing and contemporary concoction. Her music creates an easy listening experience that, when intertwined with her velveteen female vocals, shifts into a realm that can only be rightly described as relaxing and epic in its scope, straddling the line of her unique brand of Banger and Super Edgy.

In an effortless twist of genre-molding majesty, Harrison’s new worldview, combining UK-based culture with Ann LA lens, captivates listeners. She weaves a multi-dimensional tapestry of sound, embodying the essence of world music, borrowing from the earthy tales of folk-pop, and infusing it with a singer-songwriter band’s dynamism. The result is an album that fills the space between soft rock and art pop with a transcendental aura.
Indeed, “Into the Forest (Live)” is an album that truly sparkles, a vividly painted musical landscape that’s as diverse as it is captivating. As Harrison once candidly confessed in an interview, “Music pushes the boundaries of time and space. The rhythm is my journey, and the lyrics are my destination.” This is far more than just a soundtrack to life; it’s a passionate narration of experience, steeped in an opulent mix of alt-Folk and Contemporary Pop.
