OneNamedPeter Lands the Hook on Yours Faithfully with Clicks, Glitches and a Bare Vocal
Spare Acoustic Guitar, a Teenage Song Reborn and Eleven Tracks Made by One Brighton Musician
Click pairs spare acoustic guitar and a sweet, clean vocal with a scatter of clicks, whirrs and glitches. It is the quickest way into Yours Faithfully, the eighth album OneNamedPeter released on 25 September. The Brighton singer-songwriter writes, performs and produces all of his music himself. Here he blends alt-folk lyricism with alt rock pop energy and a thread of alt-country.
OneNamedPeter’s opener, Dear Me, sits in the playlist below, and his full coverage is on his artist profile. Yours Faithfully reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Hit play on the opener, then keep reading.

The album opens on Dear Me, a 94-second letter OneNamedPeter writes to himself, before Click arrives at 3:18. The One in his name is literal: he also makes his own videos and designs his own artwork. Every sound on the record is his decision.
That is why Click makes a useful test of the whole approach. The guitar stays sparse, the vocal stays sweet and unforced, and the clicks and whirrs do the decorating. In other words, it is a head-over-heels love song, just over three minutes long, and it never outstays its welcome.
Yours Faithfully gathers four singles released across 2026. Strange-Eyed Constellations came out on New Year’s Day and United Nations on 13 February. When the Sky Is Blue followed on 28 August, then Click on 11 September. Seven new songs complete it, from The Loneliest Boy in Tokyo and Tardis to the closer, Love Is.

OneNamedPeter Arranges Yours Faithfully as a Run From Neon Nights to Sussex Shores and a Bare Vocal
The sequencing does a lot of the work. Float On, track six, opens with a sunrise on Brighton beach. It turns into an uplifting meditation on how to get through life. Night In the City follows as the upbeat, neon-lit turn. At 2:36, it is the shortest track after the opener.
Then the mood breaks. Strange-Eyed Constellations takes its title from Thomas Hardy’s poem Drummer Hodge. It sets a soldier risking death under foreign skies in 1899 beside a modern traveller. The traveller loves to roam but aches for home. Similarly, The Loneliest Boy in Tokyo pulls on the tension between wanderlust and homesickness. He wrote it on his first trip to the city, in March 2026.
Finally, the ending is the boldest arrangement call. Love Is is spare by design, a song about the two faces of romantic love. The album finishes on a bare vocal. Ending on a voice with almost nothing around it is a confident choice, and it sends you straight back to Dear Me.

A One-Man Production Where United Nations Returns 22 Seconds Longer and When the Sky Is Blue Splits in Two
United Nations has the longest history here. It was the first song OneNamedPeter ever wrote, as a teenager, and it has been through many versions since. The song owes a debt to Simon & Garfunkel and their I Am a Rock. Its lyric travels from island isolation to a closing refrain about laying down arms. For comparison, the February single ran 3:09. The album carries what he calls the album version, which runs 3:31. That is 22 seconds longer, and it got its own video on 7 October.
When the Sky Is Blue shows the same restlessness. The album take runs 4:04, and Apple Music files it under Pop. A week after the single came out on 28 August, he released When the Sky Is Blue (Celestial Version). That take runs 3:30 and sits under Singer/Songwriter instead. Same song, two arrangements, two different shelves. Lyrically, however, it is one of the brighter moments here. It speaks to misfits and outcasts and promises that the sky will clear.
Because he makes his own videos too, the rollout carries the same one-person stamp. When the Sky Is Blue got a standard and a vertical video on release day. A trailer for the album went up on 20 September. Renegade Angel got its video on album release day. Float On followed on 3 October, and the album version of United Nations on 7 October. His earlier records have also drawn reviews from Dancing About Architecture and Cheers To The Vikings.
Where to Hear Yours Faithfully by OneNamedPeter, From Spotify and SoundCloud to His YouTube Videos
The influences are worn openly. The Loneliest Boy in Tokyo takes Simon & Garfunkel’s The Only Living Boy in New York and moves it to Japan. Listeners raised on that duo’s close harmonies over acoustic guitar will recognise the frame. In addition, he names David Bowie as an inspiration. Click has a little of Bowie’s habit on Low, from 1977, of putting electronic sounds around a song. They decorate it rather than replace it.
As a result, Yours Faithfully suits listeners who like folk-rooted songwriting with pop discipline. Start with Click for the hook, then go back to Dear Me and play the eleven songs in order. The whole album runs just under 36 minutes.
From the PopHits.News Curator Team: “Tardis is our favourite curveball. It is a time-machine song that borrows from HG Wells and Doctor Who. It also invites a companion to roam the galaxy. Placing it between the Hardy-inspired Strange-Eyed Constellations and the hopeful When the Sky Is Blue is smart sequencing. That is why Yours Faithfully earned a slot in our rotation.”
