1) DUB SONATA – Nights In Cuba Revisited
‘Nights In Cuba Revisited’ was produced in the same way as the original 19-track album from 2010, which is inspired by samples sourced from a crate of records the producer found during travel to Cuba in 2010.
Several years later, Dub Sonata revisited the Caribbean island nation armed with his camera in hand. He reconnected with the friends, musicians, and record dealers he had previously met.
“Nights in Cuba Revisited” is a psychedelic art pop album that is rooted in psychedelic rock and funk, but it also has an upbeat dance vibe. It’s full of retro soul grooves and Latin rhythms, which are put together with the help of electronic sounds.
It is a genre-bending project – layered with upright bass, trumpet, saxophone, flute, grand piano, acoustic guitar, various percussions, and scratching by Scram Jones – that transports the listener to the streets of Havana.
If you’re interested in checking them out yourself, you can visit their website or follow them on Spotify. Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!
2) FIONA ROSS – Thoughts, Conversations And To Do Lists
It is the multi-award-winning jazz singer-songwriter Fiona Ross who takes us on a journey through the everyday, both from a bird’s eye view as well as its sharp details. Thoughts, Conversations, and To-Do Lists, a new album was released on April 28th.
Her ability to capture the interior monologue of the racing mind, the standstill of the post-breakup blues, and the gentle flow of a thirst for knowledge, was truly impressive.
The album’s opening track, “When Will You Leave My Mind,” is a paradoxical song, in the sense that while it is sonically full of movement – it has the pace of a cha-cha, a train chugging along, a bustling city – the lyrics perfectly capture the feeling of being stuck after a breakup.
The album shows off Fiona’s incredible range as a vocalist and her ability to write songs that are both catchy and deeply meaningful. If you’re looking for something fresh and different from the typical pop fare out there today, Fiona Ross is definitely worth checking out!

3) ANGEL VILE – Ultrafemininity
ANGEL VILE is a singer-songwriter band based in London, United Kingdom. They recently released their latest single “Ultrafemininity” which is an alternative pop song with contemporary pop elements.
Angel Vile’s Ultrafemininity is a relaxing song that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and nationalities. It’s also a perfect song for those who love British culture, classical music and lounge music.
I would not play this song as background noise, it is dark and sad and powerful, without being sad and heavy in the lyrics, it is dark and sad and powerful in the structure. There is something about it that makes people feel and think.
It’s feminist and it’s her dream that women will be able to be proud of who they are and embrace that with pride. There is something unusual about this song.
The deep and dark chords contrasted with the light and airy tone of her voice, and the song begins slightly hollow and empty but grows with harmonies and synthesizers, gradually expanding throughout the song. Check it out on Spotify, and visit her website for more information! And also, check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
4) TREVOUR AMUNGA – Reflexions & Strings
Trevour Amunga is a young rapper, singer and songwriter from Los Angeles. He has been releasing music for some time now, but his recent EP “Reflections & Strings” is his most mature work to date, in my opinion.
Reflexions and Strings is a piece about a man’s reflections on life, accompanied by some pretty dope instrumentation.
Trevour Amunga’s voice sounds like an R&B singer mixed with a rapper, giving him a unique sound that won’t leave you unsatisfied! His lyrics are very deep and thought-provoking; they tell stories that everyone can relate to.
The EP has an electronic vibe that sounds like something straight out of an 80s movie soundtrack. It’s upbeat and catchy, while still having the dark undertones that we’ve come to love from this artist.
The album is full of edgy and cinematic sounds, as well as R&B beats that will make you want to get up and dance! This EP is definitely one for the books. So check out his website, and follow his Spotify. And also, check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
5) AC PEER – Plug Me In
This is an emotional and retro track that is equal parts pop, soul, rock and jazz. In addition to being edgy, soulful, moody, and energetic, Peer’s tender and gravelly vocals are what make him stand out from the crowd.
AC Peer‘s fifth and latest EP Howard’s Hue is made up of him singing, playing drums, keyboards, and producing. During the writing and recording of the project, Brooklyn and New Jersey were used as recording locations.
This is what it feels like to listen to AC Peer’s single “Plug Me In.” This song is a banger that will have you singing along from start to finish—and then replaying it over and over again. If you’re a fan of alt-rock pop or blues, then this artist is definitely one you need in your life.
In more recent times, Peer, who is a filmmaker by trade, has released two videos for his Howard’s Hue EP titled “Two Burns” and “Lindenhurst”, which put his talents on display and has led to renewed interest in the project.
If you love ALT ROCK POP or R&B music then look no further than AC PEER! Check out their website or follow them on Spotify today! And also, check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
6) HELENA MAY – Somebody New
If you like commercial pop, contemporary pop, and female vocals then you’ll love Helena May‘s single “Somebody New.”
In the last year, she has had the opportunity to sign with a major label and she has been releasing her original music independently since 2021.
”Somebody New, this song is my power, a “break free” song – a reminder to enjoy the journey, be yourself and an encourager to others to be themselves too, a fabulous go getter”. Says Helena
This song is upbeat and danceable while still having a quirkiness that makes it unique. The tune features funky beats and grooves that are sure to make you want to dance.
There’s a great music video that was just released, which we’d recommend you check out. The film focuses on the humorous and fun approach to evaluating oneself in an enjoyable way.
“If you could – what advice would you give to your younger self?”

7) KARMIC NEIGHBORHOOD – I Don’t Want To Walk Away (radio Remix)
A radio remix of “I Don’t Want to Walk Away” by Armand Ruby and Julian Colbeck is set to be released by Karmic Neighborhood under the Karmic Neighborhood artist title, which features rocker James Durbin on lead vocals.
Despite its dreamy yet upbeat atmosphere, the song reflects themes of mystery and pain related to the sudden and unexpected end of a romantic relationship that was once intense.
The lyrics “I don’t want to say goodbye, I said I will, and I will, but I don’t want to,” seem to reflect an overarching theme of “lost love.” It’s an alternative pop song that brings together elements of commercial pop, commercial vocal dance and easy listening. The lyrics are inspiring and meaningful.
It has a more commercial vibe to it that will appeal to listeners who like easy-listening music or even commercial vocal dance songs. 8) CHANCE THE CLOSER – I’m N Luv Wit Da Reefer
There’s nothing like an independent artist. They’re not afraid to take risks, and they don’t have the same pressures from record labels that bigger artists do.
And one of those independent artists is Chance The Closer. Based out of Silverton, Oregon, Chance The Closer is one of those artists who has carved out his own little niche in the world of electronic pop music.
Chance The Closer’s new single, “I’m N Luv Wit Da Reefer”, is a mix of electronic pop and alternative pop genres. The track features female vocals, male vocals, and the dance beats you’d expect from an artist who hails from Silverton
It’s kind of a hybrid song in terms of musicality. In CHANCE THE CLOSER’s words: ”It’s also kind of a love song to smoking”. If T-Pain’s “I’m N Luv” and Afroman’s “Because I Got High” had a baby together and the result would be this perfect combination.

9) RHIAN! – NO!
The UK-based singer-songwriter RHIAN! has been making waves in the music world with his new single, “NO!”. The single is a pop song with a deep house beat and a catchy hook that will have you singing along in no time.
It was written for him as well as for anybody who has trouble saying no to things they do not want to do or what they think is the right thing because they are afraid of offending or letting people down.
In the song, the simple message is that it is okay to say no, and that is an empowering message that anyone can relate to.
Edm lovers will love this song, but it can also be enjoyed by anyone who loves commercial pop music. It is upbeat, catchy, and easy on the ears.
If you’re looking for something upbeat to get your blood pumping while you work out or just want some new tunes for your workout playlist, then check out “No!” by Rhian.

10) CLARE EASDOWN – NOT READY TO DIE
CLARE EASDOWN‘s single NOT READY TO DIE is a dreamy mix of electronic pop, avant-garde electronic and dream pop. The song was released on April 28th.
The song “NOT READY TO DIE” would be the song that you would hear from planet Earth right now if he were to write/produce a song about saving our planet.
It is a desperate cry for help, a plea for radical changes to be implemented in order to save our existence. In this track, Clare has stripped out the vocals from “Violence” by Grimes and modified the pitch and tempo.
He has then repeated them throughout and on – top of an artificial intelligence-generated track, adding a layer of his own vocals to the mix as well.
