These are all songs that have been released by artists who aren’t signed with major labels—these are real artists who are just trying to make a living doing what they love.

1) DAX – To Be A Man
Dax is a rap artist from the United States. He is a Wichita native and has been making music for some time now. His latest single, “To Be A Man,” is an upbeat and catchy tune that will have you singing along in no time.
The song has an easy listening feel to it with some serious groove. It’s an anthem that will make you want to get up out of your seat and dance like nobody’s watching!
The song is a country-infused hip-hop track with soulful vocals and a cinematic sound. The lyrics are uplifting and inspiring, and the message is clear:
The instrumentals are beautiful but it’s DAX’s voice that really shines here—his tone is warm and smooth, like a classic singer, but more contemporary. I would recommend checking out this track if you like contemporary pop music or country music with a modern flair!
2) CHRISTOPHER THE GREY – Don’t Move My Mountains
Christopher the Grey is a rapper and producer from Birmingham, Alabama. His music has been described as “rap rock”, but I think that’s an oversimplification of his unique sound.
His distinctive sound is a blend of old school hip hop with the current, relevant sound of hip hop. To put it simply, it is a unique blend of the best elements of both eras.
In addition to reaching the number 5 on the America Independent Charts and the number 122 on the Digital Radio Tracker Top 200 Chart, CtG has also achieved some very nice accomplishments as well.
His song Oh My Damn has received more than a million streams, his sound from Higher has received over 2 million views on TikTok, and he is currently releasing a song with Snoop Dogg.
The instrumentals are really powerful, with a lot of variety—I love how they blend together at times, and Christopher’s lyrics are so catchy—he can really make you feel his words when he raps them!

“My Fellow Americans” offers a message of unity and independence that defies the divisiveness prevalent in modern day American society by combining the sounds of Vulfpeck and Silk Sonic.
The single My Fellow Americans by Munk Duane is just one example of how this style can sound. You’ll hear some retro soul with a rock edge—not unlike the classic rock sound we know and love today.
