1) DOTTS O’CONNOR – CONEY
DOTTS O’CONNOR is a young Irish singer-songwriter from Cavan who’s just released a new EP, CONEY EP.
In the years that led up to the making of Coney, the artist had spent years playing and collaborating with a variety of bands, including Come On Live Long, the Choice-nominated band.
His withdrawal and solitude were the catalysts for the production of Coney. It was during this time that he began the writing process for the songs that would make up the EP.
The sound of Coney’s music is rooted in acoustic instrumentation, in contrast with his previous releases, which heavily incorporated samples and synthesisers. This is partly due to the fact that Dotts has grown weary of the use of computer-based music production in the past couple of years.
As they navigate a fraught and frenzied relationship, Dotts’ songs are informed by his desire to create a compelling story accompanied by beautiful melodies.
As the two protagonists are offered a chance to be reborn for one night only, “October night”, one of the EP’s songs, explores the question of regret and how it affects our lives.

2) GUNSLINGERS – Green Acres Motel
If you’re looking for an indie folk band that brings a classic sound to their music, check out the GUNSLINGERS EP Green Acres Motel. This group is based in the United States, Midwest, and they are known for their acoustic, Americana, alt-country, and trad folk sound.
Each song has its own feel but is still tied together by the band’s ability to write songs with strong hooks and melodies that are easy to listen to.
There is something unique about Gunslingers when it comes to the indie folk/americana genre. Lou Heneise’s mountain mama vocal style is crisp and clear on both of these dark folk songs that are well-written with clever, introspective lyrics.
Their new EP, Green Acres Motel, features six tracks full of acoustic guitars, upbeat drums, and harmony vocals that will have you dancing along before you know it!
But don’t just take my word for it—check out their Spotify page or visit their website today!
3) LUCH STEFANO – I Like It On You
The singer-songwriter Luch Stefanio has been making waves in the UK for his easy-listening pop music. He recently released a new single, ”I Like It On You”, which is sure to be a hit with fans of British-based culture and easy listening vibes.
”The song ‘I like it on you’ was written about a girl with a ‘Geordie’ accent (which means she’s from Newcastle in the UK). ‘I hate that bloody accent but I suppose I like it on you’ is the line that was fuelled from a work romance abroad.” – Says Luch
It’s an easy-listening song, so it’s perfect for studying or if you’re just relaxing after a long day at work. But at the same time, it’s got some great pop vibes and it makes you want to get up out of your seat and dance!
With an echoed guitar introduction, you’re taken into the world of ‘herARTWORK’ (Her Artwork), with which he is releasing his 17-track project later this year.
If you’re looking for something to listen to while studying or just hanging out with friends, give this track a try! And follow him on Spotify, and visit his website also!
4) BEN BODEN – Without You
Ben Boden is an independent singer-songwriter from Kettering, United Kingdom. His music can be described as acoustic and twee, with a strong commercial pop influence. He recently released his single Without You, which is about learning to let go of someone you love.
”This is a stripped back track that I hope many can relate to. I wanted to keep it raw and I hope that the vulnerable vocals create that emotive ambience.” – Says Ben.
It’s got a lot of power—the vocals are strong and clear, and the instrumentals are well-balanced between the instruments. The track also has a great tempo that keeps things moving along nicely throughout the whole song.

5) TAYLOR JULES – 19
Taylor Jules is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles that plays alternative pop. Her single 19 is a commercial pop song with cinematic elements, and can be described as “euphoric”.
Despite the fact that Taylor is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, she is really gaining a steady buzz as a singer-songwriter. Taylor Jules is releasing her second single off her forthcoming EP.
The song is called 19. In the song, you are told to have the world in your palm and know that you don’t want to waste it. In your nineteen years, you are experiencing that amazing feeling of endless possibilities. In spite of the freedom of being a teenager, there is also a safety net in place as well.
The vocals are very smooth and easy to listen to, which makes them very commercial pop. The chorus is very catchy and would be perfect for TV shows or commercials, and the lyrics are also very relatable for a lot of people that are or passed this age.
The single is available on Spotify and other streaming platforms. I would suggest checking out Taylor Jules’ website and following her on Spotify if you like her music!
