New Independent Romantic Pop and Dream Pop Music Releases

Will Lisil 3 May 2023
Pop Music

Recently We came across a fantastic pop band called New Romantic. If you are a fan of pop, romantic pop, and dream pop, then this article is a must-read. Their new music was recently released!

Pop music has always been about expressing yourself and sharing your story with others. The best way to do that is through music – that’s why we’re so excited about this new wave of artists releasing their own music! They’re not only creating amazing songs – they’re also starting their own labels, publishing companies, and management teams so they can get their songs out there on their terms.

Lorenzo Piscopo releasing If not now when

There is something really intense and inspired about this tune which blends a number of different vibes and genres to create a unique and very deep listening experience.

It is rounded up by our favorite pop culture references, catchy melodies, dreamy vocals, and cool instrumentals so you can get your daily dose of pop without having to listen to the same old stuff again and again.

We are living in a time when independent artists are taking over the pop scene. The whole industry is changing, and it’s really exciting to be a part of it. There are so many great new releases from independent artists that we had to make a list just for you!

1) HEARTMOUTH – Hear Me Out

HEARTMOUTH is a singer-songwriter band from Raleigh, NC. Their single, “Hear Me Out,” was released on April 14th. The song is an example of the artist’s unique sound, which combines elements of alternative rock with commercial pop.

It’s a very cinematic song in nature. This sets up the listener for what’s to come: a catchy melody that will get stuck in your head and make you want to listen again.

A dynamic, passionate plea is delivered by vocalist Casey Allen to a soon-to-be ex in an effort to prevent them from giving up on their relationship while wrestling in real-time with the realization that there is nothing left to say to prevent it from ending.

It’s easy listening—you can listen to it any time of day or night without feeling like it’s too loud or too quiet for the situation. The vocals are smooth and soothing, which makes this track perfect for unwinding after a long day at work or school.

Heartmouth’s website features links to their social media profiles so you can find them on Spotify or if you want to check out more of their work! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

2) KATIE KEDDIE – Alaska Sadness

Katie Keddie is a British singer-songwriter from Nottingham, England. She’s a folk-pop musician who sings with a soft rock vibe, and her music is best described as alternative pop with an indie rock twist.

She has released her debut EP, Alaska Sadness, which was recorded with a group of friends in an old mill in Wales just after the lockdown of the year 2021.

”It is a collection of the first songs I ever wrote, so it feels really special to be able to release them.” – Says Katie

Her EP Alaska Sadness is packed with bangers and sing-alongs that will make anyone feel like they’re in the middle of a dreamy 80s film. Her voice is ethereal, and the music itself is so easy on the ears—you can listen to it all day without getting tired of it!

If you want to get lost in dreamy, melancholic music that makes you feel like you’re floating on clouds through an endless blue sky on a warm summer day, check out Katie Keddie’s website, and follow her Spotify! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

3) DAFNY – Non Mi Importa

DAFNY, is an Italian artist who works and performs EDM pop music. Her single “Non Mi Importa” is an anthem that has been described as “super catchy” by listeners all over the world.

It features commercial vocal dance elements, which gives it an upbeat feel while still being accessible to anyone who listens to it.

The song Non Mi Importa, which is also known as “I don’t care”, speaks of the rebirth of oneself after a toxic relationship has ended. As a result, the foundation was born with the awareness of the importance of remaining true to oneself and to the value of freedom.

As this is the fourth song that has been recorded by the artist, it maintains a logical thread with the previous ones that have been recorded by him.

It is said that Alba a Milano, his first single, exceeded 36K downloads and was regularly played on radio stations such as Radio Italia anni 60, Radio Roma Capitale, Radio Capital, and others.

You can find out more about Dafny on their website. You can also follow her on Spotify for more information about her. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

4) COLACOLA – Foreign Lavennew

COLACOLA‘s new single “Foreign Lavennew” is a dreamy, ethereal treat. The Japanese-based artist has been making waves in the indie pop scene for some time now, but this single is easily her strongest yet.

colacola is an enigmatic bedroom composer based in Japan, who has been creating music that blends various genres from various places, including the US and Japan, since August 2021.

A great deal of his influence comes from Japanese, American, and British pop music, which is evident in the unique sound he has created, which seamlessly blends the past with the present.

This latest release from Colacola, “Foreign Lavennew” is a wonderful tribute to the Japanese genres of city pop and Kayokyoku music that were popular in the 1980s.

If you’re looking for more from COLACOLA, check out her YouTube—and don’t forget to follow her on Spotify! Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!

5) OCCURRENCE – Slow Violence

Due to the pandemic, Occurrence had to complete their third album remotely due to the outbreak, but it was in the fall of 2021 that they reunited after two years apart in order to begin recording their fourth album, SLOW VIOLENCE.

The band’s double album boasts 22 tracks. With songs influenced by Rob Nixon’s concept of “slow violence,” the band pushes its sound forward.

Nixon’s term describes the unnoticed violence that Western countries perpetrate against developing nations, violence that doesn’t even seem to register for many years if not decades.

There are twelve tracks on the album that combine elements of dream pop, electronic pop, synth pop, alternative pop, cinematic music, and several other genres.

All in all, this is an incredible debut from a band we can’t wait to see more from. Check out the album on Spotify or visit their website for more information about upcoming shows and releases. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

6) NOAH CALDERAN – Real Love?

The first release of Noah Calderan for the year 2023 is entitled ”Real Love?”, a laid-back pop-rap track that takes a closer look at the complexities of relationships and love.

Listeners can feel the emotion behind every word and note of this track; it will make them feel like they’re right there beside Noah on the dance floor at a club show in Melbourne!

This poem is a reflection of what love really is as it attempts to explain what it is and yet does not close itself off to it either. It is Noah who embraces the feeling of vulnerability and gives love a chance to flourish.

“I usually don’t open up, but it feels like the right timing.” Through a mix of introspection and optimism, Real Love? tries to inspire listeners to let go of their doubts and embrace what lies ahead.

If you’re looking for something different but still want to sing along with your favorite artist’s latest hits, check out Noah Calderan’s single “Real Love” on Spotify or visit his website. Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!

7) CHARISE SOWELLS – Obsolescent Adolescence

If you’re looking for a new sound, Obsolescent Adolescence is the album for you.

For over two decades, Charise Sowells has been performing and recording with an array of other artists, including bands, and there is no doubt that this is her most powerful album to date.

A lockdown had made her realize that the time had come to focus on her original music instead of her alias. Now that her original music was out there, she did not want to rely on aliases anymore.

Her new album Obsolescent Adolescence goes beyond the usual indie folk, 90’s rock, grunge, singer-songwriter, and trip-hop genres to explore neo-soul and world music sounds that are both fresh and familiar.

This album is perfect if you’re looking for something new to add to your collection or want to explore new genres! You can check it out on Spotify or visit the artist’s website for more information about her.

Also listen to our entire playlist, where this artist and many great ones are also featured, you won’t regret it!

8) JÓHANNA SELJAN – Strangelove

As an Icelandic singer and songwriter, poet, and entertainer, Jóhanna Seljan has performed since the age of sixteen and is known for her ability to connect with her audiences.

At the young age of eight, Johanna began writing poems and lyrics, and a few years later at the age of nineteen, she began writing melodies.

It is a song filled with goosebumps that talk about two people going through all the motions and confusion that love tends to bring, but even through all that, you can hear the warmth and softness in Jóhanna’s voice as she expresses all of these emotions with her voice.

Jóhanna’s music is like a fresh breath of air in a world where everything seems to be drowning in autotune and overproduced beats. Her voice is delicate but powerful, and she uses it to create songs that are both danceable and heartfelt.

If you’re looking for an indie pop artist with an electronic edge, check out Jóhanna Selján on Spotify! Visit her website also! Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

9) LORENZO PISCOPO – If Not Now When

If you’re looking for a new sound to take you into the weekend, look no further than Italian artist Lorenzo Piscopo.

The single “If Not Now When” is an ambient dream-pop track that will make you feel like you’re floating through the clouds. The soundscape is delicate and ethereal, with the instruments creating a peaceful ambiance.

There is something really intense and inspired about this tune which blends a number of different vibes and genres to create a unique and very deep listening experience.

The result is a piece of music landscape that stands out from the massive mountain of music being produced today and definitely stands out from the crowd.

The artist’s website has information about him and his music, as well as links to Spotify so that you can listen to more songs by this artist. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
