10 Pop Music Artists You Should Be Listening To Them Now

Will Lisil 3 April 2023
Pop Music

Are you tired of listening to the same old bands in your playlist? Here’s a list of artists you should be listening to right now

Pop music has changed over the years, and today it can mean just about anything. Just as there is no pure definition for pop music, there are no rules for who can make it. If we had to define pop music as anything, it would be that it’s an umbrella term for all kinds of music made by all kinds of people—from mainstream chart-toppers to underground artists with cult followings.

These compositions are perfect for party sessions and if you’re listening to them on the way to work, you’ll be able to awaken all the nuances of your personality. With lively rhythms and fresh vocals, these compositions are perfect for party sessions and if you’re listening to them on the way to work.

This list includes some well-known musicians and some underground favourites who deserve more exposure than they’re getting right now—but don’t worry: if you like what you hear here today, we’ll make sure to keep bringing more like this your way!

You can listen to our full playlist which contains the artists’ music, and learn more about the artists by scrolling down the page.

1) SALT HOUSE LAVISH – Dont Lie To Me

The track is by SALT HOUSE LAVISH, an artist from the United Kingdom, Stockton on Tees. The song has a very contemporary and fun vibe to it, with a great beat and catchy lyrics that make you want to dance. It’s a great song for working out or dancing with friends.

I like how the synths sound on this song—it’s smooth, not too loud but still strong enough to carry the track. The female vocals are another highlight of this song: they’re not overpowering but still prominent enough to be noticed while also matching the instrumental well enough to create a cohesive soundscape.

A track with this clarity and crispness is not overproduced or polished to the point where it becomes dull. Having instrumental breakdowns to break up the song at the appropriate time adds a great deal of variety to the songs without feeling forced or extraneous.

Overall, I think this is an excellent single and I highly recommend checking this song out! You can visit his website, or follow him on Spotify!

2) JOSHUA MARTIN – Te Conoci Bailando

Latin pop artist Joshua Martin has been making waves in the chillwave scene with his new single, “Te Conoci Bailando.” The song has a heavy Latin influence with a catchy beat that’s perfect for dancing.

Josh Martin is an artist from Southern California, who is a singer and songwriter. A big fan of 80’s music, he especially enjoys music from the US, UK, and Mexico.

When he first visited Mexico City, he was inspired to write Te Conoci Bailando, a Spanish song that he composed after visiting the city for the first time.

it sounds like it could be on any number of popular radio stations, but it also has a unique sound that makes it stand out from others in its genre.

The original song was written in the style of 80’s pop/rock, but the remix is in the style of electronic music. There is a vast difference between the two songs.

If you’re a fan of Latin music or alternative pop, then this track will be right up your alley. You can listen on Spotify or visit Joshua’s website to find out more about his music and information!

3) JACK FOZ – Casual

As a result of his growing following on social media, especially TikTok, Jack Foz is releasing his debut single ‘Casual’ on the 24th of March, which has already gained quite an audience.

I would describe this track as having a high-energy indie rock feel akin to bands like The Vaccines and Catfish and the Bottlemen, intertwined with nostalgic 80s synthesiser tones that will have you daydreaming in neon lights.

There is a veil of catchy melodies and major chords that hide behind the blanket of catchy melodies and major chords of the track the anxiety and anguish that accompany determining how serious you are about a relationship in its early stages.

The single “Casual” is an anthem about the ups and downs of relationships. The song’s sound is upbeat but has a slightly melancholic tone that makes it easy to listen to over and over again.

If you want to hear more from this artist, check them out on Spotify or visit their website!

4) OLLA – Prana

OLLA is a pop singer and songwriter from Monaco, Monte Carlo. She’s known for her unique style, which combines elements of 80’s pop and easy-listening music with the musical culture of Europe. Her new single, Prana, is an example of this style at its finest.

We are happy to share with you Olla’s upcoming song “Prana” which will be released on the 31st of March. Olla’s upcoming song is a romantic, meditative, smooth and melodic pop that will be out along with a dreamy music video.

The melody is upbeat but also relaxed, creating a feeling of happiness without being too energetic. It has all the 80s vibes you could want, with a commercial pop twist that will make you want to dance.

The song moves along at an easy listening pace without being too slow or too fast—the kind of music you’d hear when something romantic was happening on screen between two people who were falling in love.

If you like what you hear, check out her Spotify, and visit her YouTube, for more information about this artist!

5) IMELDA GABS – Thieves

If you’re looking for a new artist to check out, look no further than Imelda Gabs. The Swiss singer-songwriter and producer has been making waves lately with her catchy song “Thieves,” and we’re here to tell you why it’s worth your time.

looking forward with excitement, Gabs will introduce you to her new single ‘Thieves’, which will also figure on her debut album ‘Synopsis’ which will be out on April 14th!

The single is an upbeat pop song that blends elements of electronic and commercial pop. It’s the perfect banger to get you through your day, whether it’s at work or on the dance floor. With its strong vocals and catchy hooks, “Thieves” is sure to become a favourite among fans of both genres.

She takes an EDM instrumental and injects it with her special brand of pop magic, creating something that’s darkly seductive but also accessible.

It’s not often that you hear something so commercial pop-friendly that also feels so raw and emotional—this track is incredibly well-crafted, which is why it’s getting so much attention right now.

If you’re feeling inspired by what we’ve written here today, please follow her on Spotify! And visit her website.

6) CHRIS LIVERMAN – Destiny

‘Destiny’ is a new song written by Chris Liverman. This song is about rejecting worldly desires and focusing one’s mind and spirit on God instead.

Aside from “Destiny,” Liverman also released the single “Purpose” a few weeks ago, which made the Top 20 list for Christian streams and downloads during its first week of release.

He has been featuring his music on the Christian Broadcasting Network and several Christian radio stations, so Chris Liverman is fervently working to spread God’s bountiful blessings, and he continues to do so with his new single, Destiny.

This is Christian pop music at its finest. The singer’s voice has an ethereal quality to it, which lends itself well to this style of music.

I would highly recommend this single to anyone who enjoys easy-listening music or contemporary pop. This is a great track for anyone who wants something uplifting in their lives!

I highly recommend checking out Chris Liverman’s website and following him on Spotify so you can keep up with all his latest releases!

7) BEN KELLY – Senses

BEN KELLY is an alternative indie R&B singer from Washington, DC who has been turning heads with his single “Senses.”

The track is a contemporary soul song that combines electronic pop with neo-soul and R&B influences. It’s the perfect song to play when you want to relax and chill out with some friends.

His newest song is a laid-back chill love song that I think a lot of people will vibe to! It features smooth guitar and bass over trap drums. It also features a synth for the hook. It has a great soul/alternative R&B sound.

He’s an up-and-coming alternative R&B artist who’s been making music for 2 and a half months. He’s been gradually growing more of a following, and that following continues to grow with each song he releases.

If you want more from this artist, visit his Spotify, and don’t forget to follow it also!

8) STĒVI M – Watch Me Go

STĒVI M is an independent artist from Babylon, United States who just released her new single Watch Me Go.

This is a song that you’ll hear everywhere: the supermarket, the gym, the grocery store. It’s got that commercial pop sound that’s so in right now, with a Latin twist and female vocals. You can’t help but dance when you hear it!

“Watch Me Go” is one of those sexy, Latin-inspired pop songs that tell the story of stepping out into your power as well as having self-confidence and self-awareness.

This track has a Latin pop vibe to it, with some hip-hop beats mixed in for good measure. It’s got that commercial pop sound that you can hear on the radio all day long, but with a little more soul and depth than most of what gets played on the radio these days.

With tango, rumba, and cha-cha rhythms, as well as soaring strings, soulful vocals, and a smooth hip-hop break, this track will take you from the club to the ballroom with ease.

I’m also really impressed with the vocals on this track—they’re super catchy and blend nicely with the instruments throughout the track.

If you’re interested in learning more about STĒVI M or hearing more of her music, visit her website. You can also follow her on Spotify!

9) DAMIEN – Joy (In My Own Time)

Darkwave artist DAMIEN, one of the most renowned acts in Ipswich, plunges into the depths of anxiety with his latest single, Joy (In My Own Time), before triumphantly emerging on the other side.

It is a powerful declaration of self-affirmation based on the artist’s search for hope and strength during times of deep insecurity and fear, which is the very source of Joy (In My Own Time).

With an array of beautifully layered harmonies and soulful basslines that are sure to make your move, this track will be released by Redcliffe social enterprise Tribe Clubhouse in March.

In order to raise funds for the purchase of a community van that can be used to physically transport isolated and fringe-dwelling individuals to a place of connection and belonging.

If you want to get lost in your thoughts for a little while, check out Damien’s website, or follow him on Spotify!

10) KELSIE KIMBERLIN – Spoof I Wonder

KELSIE KIMBERLIN is a singer-songwriter with a pop sound, and her single Spoof I Wonder is the perfect song for easy listening.

Her music is relaxing and soft rock, with just enough alternative pop to make it interesting. The lyrics are simple and relatable—you’ll find yourself singing along in no time!

”The one-year anniversary of the unjust war against Ukraine was on February 24th. I am Ukrainian-American and I spent many peaceful childhood summers there. This war has affected me deeply so I am going to be releasing a number of songs this year about Ukraine, the war, and my feelings.” – Says Kelsie.

“Spoof I Wonder” is a documentary that portrays the horrors of war through the unique eyes of award-winning photojournalist Andriy Dubchak, who has been documenting this war from its front lines to its aftermath.

During this performance, he tries, both vocally and visually, to express the profound suffering and pain that the war has caused not just for Ukrainians but for all civilized people around the world.

There is a need for everyone to stand with Ukraine in any way they can and share the hashtag, #StandWithUkraine, as much as they can.

You can check out Kelsie Kimberlin’s website here or follow her on Spotify, so you can see more of her work.
